Missing Description Text on Classes, Meetings, or Other Portal Pages

If you created a class, meeting or other page with description text, but it doesn't show up, there are two things to check.

  1. Portal Page Cache - Depending on the refresh setting in your CRM it can take as long as an hour for a page to show changes. This time can be shortened to a few minutes (typically 5) on request without noticeably affecting performance. 

  2. Pasting from Word - Word contains many special codes you can't see without looking at the source code on your page, and although they look like web code, they're just different enough to confuse a browser. When pasting from Word, look for a button on the WSYWIG editor's toolbar with either a "W" or a "T" on it. These will take off the extra code and leave your text in place.
