Issue Exporting Files using Google Chrome

*UPDATE 9/19/2019
There is a Google Chrome Extension that can be installed instead of the manual method listed below.  The link to install that Extension is: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dynamics-crm-rename-downl/elajgiibdjhcnabbdeimegnpbbpdkgai

Click Add to Chrome, and you will be able to Export Excel Files from RAMCO with no issue.

Recently Google Chrome updated their Browser.  With this update, RAMCO is now exporting files with a single apostrophe on each side of the file name and extension.  If you were to export an Advanced Find to an Excel document for example, it would appear as: 'Contacts Advanced Find View.xlsx'.  Trying to open this file as is, is not possible.  This is a bug in Google Chrome.  The steps below will allow you to rename the file without the single apostrophes.

If for some reason you are not able to rename/edit file-names, or change file extensions, you simply just need to use a separate Browser (ie. Firefox or Internet Explorer).

1.  Open Advanced Find, and enter the search criteria

2.  Click Results, and then Export Contacts (choose appropriate type)

3.  The file will save, and a tabbed view of the download will be visible at the bottom of the Advanced Find window.

4.  Click the up arrow to the right of the file name, and click show in folder

5.  Clicking show in folder will open your Downloads folder, and highlight the file.  Notice it has the single apostrophes on both sides.

6.  Hit F2 on your keyboard (shortcut for renaming files), or right click the file, and click rename.

7.  Delete the apostrophe on the right side, and on the left side.

8.  Click yes, as we do want to change the file extension.

9.  Now Windows recognizes this as an actual XLSX file, and can be opened by Microsoft Excel.
